Online Report : Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip have claimed the lives of 41 people, with 110 others reported injured.
The casualties occurred throughout the day on Friday.
Gaza`s Ministry of Health issued a statement in the evening confirming the death toll, according to Anadolu Agency.
Since October 2023, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have been conducting military operations in Gaza. As per the ministry`s data, the total number of deaths from Israeli airstrikes in Gaza has now reached 58,667, with an additional 139,974 Palestinians injured.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas, an armed political group, launched an unexpected attack on Israel. The attack resulted in 1,200 deaths and 251 people being taken hostage. In retaliation and to secure the release of the hostages, Israel initiated military operations in Gaza the same day. After more than 15 months of continuous fighting, Israel declared a ceasefire on January 19, under pressure from the United States and other international mediators.
However, just two months after the ceasefire, the IDF resumed operations in Gaza on March 18. Since then, in the past two and a half months, 7,843 Palestinians have been killed, and nearly 27,993 others have been injured in the ongoing conflict.
