Rafiqul Islam, Kushtia Correspondent: A special patrol team of BGB at Dotarpara (BOP) arrested a drug dealer named Abdus Salam Member (48) in Daulatpur, Kushtia, along with 100 bottles of Indian phensidyl, 6 kg of marijuana, a foreign firearm, one round of bullets and a magazine.
On Sunday (July 13), at 02.20 am, BGB raided a place called Mohammadpur Math, 10 yards inside the main pillar 154/9 S Bangladesh in the border area of the upazila, and arrested Abdus Salam Member.
The arrested drug dealer, Abdus Salam Member, is the son of the deceased Maula Box of Mohammadpur village in Ramkrishnapur union of the upazila.
It is learned that on the basis of secret information that drug dealer Abdus Salam member, who is under the smuggling register, is buying and selling drugs, a special patrol team of BGB conducted a raid at a place called Mohammadpur Math, 10 yards inside Main Pillar 154/9 S Bangladesh at 02.20 minutes on 13/07/2025 and was able to arrest Salam member along with drugs, phensidyl, marijuana and weapons.
In this incident, Abdus Salam member, who was arrested along with drugs, phensidyl, marijuana and weapons, has been handed over to Daulatpur Police Station by Kushtia 47 Battalion BGB. And by describing the recovered evidence, a case has been registered against him under the Arms and Narcotics Act at Daulatpur Police Station and he has been arrested. The arrested person has been sent to jail through a learned court.
