Dhaka University Friends Forum organizes prayer meeting

DU Correspondent: A prayer meeting was held for the soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The event took place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Central Mosque of the University of Dhaka.

Organized by Dhaka University Friends Forum (Duff) 1996-97 batch, the program included a special prayer for Begum Khaleda Zia`s soul. The prayer meeting was held to remember her contributions to the country`s democratic movement and politics.

The event also prayed for Abul Kalam Azad, a student of the 1996-97 batch, who passed away on Saturday morning. Azad was a 24th BCS (General Education) cadre officer.

The prayer was attended by Duff members, university teachers, students, alumni, and people from various professions.
