Four seaports asked to hoist cautionary signal no-3
  Date : 28-04-2026

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has advised the country`s four seaports to hoist cautionary signal no-3 due to increased air pressure variation over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas.

In a weather bulletin issued on Tuesday morning, the BMD said a marked difference in air pressure is prevailing over the North Bay, which may lead to adverse weather conditions.

Following the alert, the seaports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to display Local Cautionary Signal No-3.

The advisory further urged all fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay of Bengal to remain close to the coast and exercise caution until further notice.
