International Desk: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has concluded a six-day visit to the Nordic region, during which China and four Nordic countries reached broad consensus on deepening bilateral partnerships and strengthening cooperation across a range of issues.

Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, held separate meetings with King Frederik X of Denmark, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

During the meetings, both sides emphasized mutual respect for each other’s core interests and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation. The four Nordic countries also reiterated their support for the one-China policy.

China and the Nordic nations expressed support for free trade, economic globalization, and maintaining the stability of global industrial and supply chains. China reaffirmed its commitment to keeping its market open to foreign businesses, while expressing hope that the Nordic countries would continue to provide a fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese companies.
