Special Correspondent: Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider on Monday visited the National Office and family houses of SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh in Dhaka, where he donated laptops to children living under the organisation`s care to support their education.

During the visit, the High Commissioner met Md. Enamul Haque, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh, and handed over the laptops to resident children from different parts of the country. The initiative is aimed at helping the children improve their access to digital learning and educational resources.

Welcoming the visit, National Director Md. Enamul Haque thanked the Pakistan High Commission for its continued engagement with the organisation. He said such support would contribute to expanding educational opportunities for children growing up in SOS Children’s Villages across Bangladesh.

The High Commissioner spent time interacting with the children and encouraged them to make the best use of the learning resources available to them. He urged them to pursue their studies with dedication, determination and perseverance to build a brighter future.

Imran Haider also praised the staff members and caregivers of SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh for their commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.

The visit highlighted the importance of educational support and international cooperation in promoting the welfare and development of vulnerable children in Bangladesh.
