Md Tarek Hossain: Doctors Information, a medical treatment management and healthcare service provider, organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) and dinner programme in the capital on Friday, bringing together Bangladeshi healthcare professionals and representatives of Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai, to facilitate knowledge sharing and raise awareness about advanced and specialised treatment options available to Bangladeshi patients abroad.

The “Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai – CME & Dinner Programme” was held at the Unique Regency Hotel in Banani, with doctors from different fields, patients and their family members, business and corporate representatives, and other healthcare professionals in attendance.

The programme was organised with the objective of providing reliable information on international-standard medical treatment and specialised healthcare services to Bangladeshi patients while creating an avenue for exchange of medical knowledge and professional experiences between local physicians and international medical specialists.

The event was coordinated by Mamunur Rashid, Founder and Chairman of Doctors Information.

A key attraction of the programme was a specialised CME session conducted by Dr Jimmy Mirani, Oncology Specialist at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. During the session, he discussed various aspects of modern oncology and comprehensive cancer care, highlighting developments in cancer treatment and addressing questions from participating doctors and guests.

Ms Veronica Sarker, International Business Development Manager of Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai, also spoke at the event. She provided an overview of the hospital`s specialised medical services, advanced treatment technologies and facilities available to international patients, particularly those travelling from Bangladesh for complex and specialised treatment.

Speaking about the initiative, Mamunur Rashid said the organisation`s primary objective was to make access to information about world-class medical treatment easier for Bangladeshi patients.

“Our goal is to make access to world-class treatment opportunities easier for Bangladeshi patients and ensure that they receive accurate and reliable medical information. At the same time, we want to enrich the country`s healthcare sector by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience between Bangladeshi physicians and international medical experts,” he said.

He added that Doctors Information plans to continue organising knowledge-sharing and CME programmes in collaboration with reputed hospitals and medical specialists from different countries.

They said such programmes could be particularly useful for patients and families seeking information about treatment options for complex and specialised medical conditions.
