Bijoy Roy, Correspondent, Ranishankail (Thakurgaon): Bringing a long-awaited aspiration to fruition, the foundation stone for Thakurgaon University has been laid. The Honorable President of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh laid the foundation stone for the university.

Mr. Mohammad Abdul Mabud, DIG of the Rangpur Range, was present at the event. The DIG, along with other senior officials, had also welcomed the President upon his arrival in Thakurgaon.

The commencement of Thakurgaon University is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding higher education opportunities in the northern region. This institution will make significant contributions toward creating higher education avenues for the new generation of students, fostering the pursuit of knowledge, and developing skilled human resources.
