International, September 25 : China’s First Lady Peng Liyuan visited the National Museum of Asian Art in Washington, D.C., on September 24 local time. She was accompanied by US First Lady Melania Trump.

The two First Ladies visited several exhibition halls, including Peacock Hall. During the visit, Peng Liyuan expressed her gratitude to the United States for returning a number of Chinese cultural artifacts in recent years. She expressed hope that China and the United States would continue cooperation in cultural exchanges and the protection of cultural heritage, with the aim of further strengthening friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

Following the visit, Peng Liyuan and Melania Trump listened to a chorus performance by American teenagers and engaged in friendly conversations with them.
