  Around TK 60cr Eid toll collected on Padma, Jamuna bridges

The government collected Tk 59.77 crore in tolls from the Padma and Jamuna bridges during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, with record-high traffic observed on June 5.

Bridge Division Secretary M Abdur Rouf said that electronic toll collection (ETC) and app-based payment systems have been introduced to ease vehicle movement.

On June 5 alone, the Padma Bridge earned Tk 5.43 crore and the Jamuna Bridge Tk 4.10 crore, with over 52,000 and 64,000 vehicles crossing, respectively.
