Sacrifice for Allah’s Pleasure Must Guide Islamic Politics: Prof Abdul Qadir Saleh

LONDON, October 12, 2026: Professor Maulana Abdul Qadir Saleh, Naib-e-Ameer of Khelafat Majlis, has said that the fundamental principle of Islamic politics is to seek Allah’s pleasure through the sacrifice of one’s time, labour, intellect and wealth.

He stressed that the success of an Islamic movement cannot be achieved without sacrifice and dedication to the cause of Islam. Throughout history, he said, the movements to establish the teachings of Islam have been strengthened by the selfless sacrifices of prophets, messengers and their devoted followers.

Abdul Qadir Saleh urged the organisation’s leaders and activists not to abandon their principles in the face of temporary obstacles, challenges or worldly temptations. He called on them to conduct their political activities solely to seek Allah’s pleasure by following the examples of prophets and their sincere followers.

He made the remarks while addressing a training and development programme for organisational leaders jointly organised by the UK South and North branches of Khelafat Majlis on Sunday evening, October 11.

Speaking as the chief guest, he delivered a discussion titled “The Virtue of Sacrifice and Devotion in the Path of Islam”, highlighting the importance of sincerity, commitment and selflessness in Islamic political and organisational activities.

The programme was chaired by Maulana Sadikur Rahman, president of the UK South branch, while its general secretary, Maulana Abdul Karim Mamrokhani, conducted the event.

Maulana Mahbubur Rahman Talukder, joint general secretary of the South branch, delivered the Dars-e-Quran (lesson from the Quran).

Maulana Shawkat Ali, a member of the organisation’s central advisory council, and Mufti Tajul Islam, president of the UK North branch, also addressed the programme as special guests.

Among others, the discussion was attended by leaders and activists from the South and North branches, London metropolitan unit and several regional branches, including Birmingham, Luton and Southend.

Participants included Maulana Hafiz Sadikur Rahman, Hafiz Maulana Enamul Haque, Hafiz AKM Abdul Qadir, Maulana Enamul Hasan Sabir, Maulana AFM Shuaib, Qari Abdul Karim Ubaid, Hafiz Maulana Kamrul Hasan Khan, Maulana Ataur Rahman Zakir and Maulana Syed Sultan Mahmud.

Other attendees included Maulana Abdul Ahad, Qazi Maulana Abdur Rahman, Maulana Fuzayel Ahmad Nazmul, Maulana Nurul Amin Munna, Mohammad Abdul Gafur, Maulana Nufais Ahmad, Maulana Anisur Rahman, Maulana Habibur Rahman, Maulana Saifur Rahman Saif, Maulana Husain Ahmad, Maulana Jabir Ahmad, Mufti Masrur Ahmad Burhan, Maulana Obaidullah, Maulana Amirul Islam and Hafiz Maulana Ashraful Mawla, among others.

The programme concluded with a special prayer seeking unity and prosperity for the Muslim Ummah and victory for the cause of Islam.
