Guard of honour for deceased freedom fighter Mojaharul Islam in Sapahar

Jahangir Alam Manik, Sapahar: The late freedom fighter Mojaharul Islam has been awarded the state honor "Guard of Honour" in Sapahar, Naogaon.

He died at RajshahiMedicalCollegeHospital at 11:30 am on Tuesday due to cardiac arrest. He was 70 years old at the time of death.

On that day at 5:30 pm in DangaparaHigh School grounds of the upazila, the coffin of the late freedom fighter Mojaharul Islam was covered with the national flag as part of the state honoring, after the upazila administration paid tribute, armed members of the police force gave a "guard of honor" to him. is provided. It was led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Abdullah Al Mamun. Sapahar police station officer in-charge (OC) Humayun Kabir and brave freedom fighter Nazrul Islam were present.

Later, he was buried in the family cemetery after his prayers there. Officials and employees of various departments of local administration, brave freedom fighters and devotees of various professions participated in his funeral.

After his death, he left behind 3 sons, 1 daughter, 1 wife, and many grandchildren. Sapahar Upazila administration is expressing deep grief over his death.
