Two station masters of Joydebpur Railway Junction Station have been suspended over the collision between two trains on Friday morning.
The station master Hanif Ali confirmed this.
After the incident, the station master Md Hashem, pointmen Saddam Hossain and Mostafizur Rahman were suspended.
Two platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed to assist in the rescue work.
Earlier this morning, a Dhaka-bound Tangail commuter train hit a Gazipur-bound oil-laden train allegedly due to an error of the signalman on the south end of the railway junction in Gazipur.
Five compartments of the commuter train and several bogies of the oil-laden one were derailed after the collision.
Four people, including the loco master of the commuter train, sustained injuries in the accident.
