Jubo Dal Committed to Restoring Democracy and Resolving the Crisis : Munna
  Date : 25-09-2025

Kamrul Hasan : Martyr President Ziaur Rahman founded Jubo Dal in 1978 to fulfill the long-cherished aspirations of the common people. Following that spirit, Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal remains committed to restoring democracy, resolving the ongoing national crisis, and implementing the 31-point reform agenda declared by BNP’s Acting Chairman and national leader Tarique Rahman, said Abdul Monayem Munna, President of the Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee.

He made the remarks on Thursday afternoon while presiding over a preparatory meeting at BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan, marking the 47th founding anniversary of Jubo Dal, to be celebrated on September 27. Leaders of Dhaka Metropolitan South, Dhaka Metropolitan North, as well as district and metropolitan units across the Dhaka division, were present.

The meeting was conducted by Jubo Dal’s General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan. Among others, Senior Vice-President Rezaul Kabir Pol, First Joint Secretary Billal Hossain Tariq, Organizing Secretary Kamruzzaman Jewel, Office Secretary Nurul Islam Sohel, and Assistant Office Secretary Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan were in attendance, along with presidents, conveners, member-secretaries, general secretaries, acting member-secretaries, and senior joint conveners from various units empowered to exercise organizational authority.

In his speech, Abdul Monayem Munna said that for over four decades, Jubo Dal has played a leading role in the democratic movements as one of the key wings of the BNP. He noted that under the foresight and leadership of Tarique Rahman, Jubo Dal’s strong role in BNP’s mass movements forced the autocratic ruler to leave the country on August 5, paving the way for a new Bangladesh free from fascism.

“To keep this achievement intact and to fulfill the people’s long-cherished aspirations, we must continue our struggle. Only then will the dream of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman be realized,” he added.

Munna further said that although an interim government has announced the 13th National Election for early February 2026, a vested quarter, envious of BNP’s popularity, is conspiring to derail the election process under the pretext of the so-called ‘PR system.’

“They know that if a fair election is held in February, their collapse is inevitable. That is why they have raised this excuse. But the people of the country will never accept such unrealistic and undemocratic proposals. To resist these evil forces, everyone must work unitedly for the welfare of the nation,” he asserted.

He also expressed optimism that every unit of Jubo Dal would remain well-organized and active in the field to ensure victory for BNP’s election symbol, the sheaf of paddy, in every constituency in the upcoming national election. He sought prayers for the quick recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, as well as for the good health and long life of Tarique Rahman.

The meeting also decided to hold programs across the country, including the capital, to mark the founding anniversary, with emphasis on ensuring mass participation in the central event.
