The Directorate of Primary Education has announced 4,166 vacancies for assistant teachers in government primary schools as part of the second recruitment phase.
Interested candidates from Dhaka and Chattogram divisions (excluding three hill districts) can apply.
The online application process began on 14 November and will continue until 27 November 2025 at 11:59 PM. The application fee is Tk 100.
The position falls under Grade 13 of the national pay scale 2015, with a salary range of Tk 11,000–26,590. Applicants must hold at least a second-class (or equivalent CGPA) bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, with a minimum CGPA of 2.25 (4-scale) or 2.8 (5-scale). Candidates with third-class divisions or equivalent GPAs at any stage of their academic career will not be considered.
Applicants must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of 30 November 2025. Married female candidates may apply using either their husband’s or father’s permanent address, which will determine eligibility for the relevant Upazila or Education Thana.
Selection will be based on written and oral examinations. The written test carries 90 marks: Bengali (25), English (25), Mathematics & General Science (20), and General Knowledge including Bangladesh and international affairs (20). Candidates scoring at least 45 out of 90 will qualify for a 10-mark oral test, where a minimum score of 5 is required to pass. The written exam duration is 90 minutes; no time limit is set for the oral test.
Selected candidates must serve in their designated Upazila or Education Thana, with transfers limited to schools within the same jurisdiction. Applicants with a history of smoking or drug use are advised not to apply.
