  Date : 28-05-2025

Special Correspondent: Bangladeshi writer Fatema Yasmin`s science fiction novel "Call of Future" has been nominated for the 2025 Legacy of Literature Award in the Best Science Fiction category.
The Legacy of Literature Award is a prestigious international literary award that recognizes the literary work of emerging and promising writers from around the world.
The story is set in the year 2050, when the world is on the verge of destruction. Scientist Dr. Philip discovers the practical application of retrocausal theory, which allows us to change the mistakes made in the past to prevent the destruction created by future artificial intelligence. Which is able to stop many bloody conflicts, wars and natural disasters. With the help of sixth-generation scientists, he set out to see the future world in 2014, so that he could return to the present and save the world from destruction by raising awareness among humanity.
During this journey, Dr. Philip falls in love with a sixth-generation female scientist, who gives him the courage to stand up against greed and destruction. Later in the story, his brother`s son, the central character of the story, Ethan, becomes his companion. Returning from 2050, he begins an important mission, the consequences of which become dramatic and terrifying. However, in 2024, he joins forces with all the sixth-generation scientists to eradicate greed and evil forces from the world and begin the struggle to rebuild humanity.
Fatima Yasmin is currently the Director of the Quality Assurance Department at Uttara Crescent Hospital and a former university teacher. In addition to leading the health sector, she continues to work tirelessly in literary practice, research, and creating social awareness.
