ACC raids 13 EC offices over NID irregularities
  Date : 26-06-2025

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched raids at 13 district election offices across the country following allegations of harassment and irregularities in the issuance, correction, and processing of National Identity (NID) cards.

The drive began on Monday (June 23), conducted by teams from the ACC’s Integrated District Offices.

According to ACC sources, the offices being raided include those in: Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Naogaon, Barishal, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Rangpur, Thakurgaon, Kurigram, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, and Jamalpur.

The commission initiated the move after receiving complaints against officials and employees regarding delays, misconduct, and corruption in NID services.

ACC sources said details of the findings will be shared after the operation concludes.
