Seed, fertilizer distributed among 1200 farmers in Ctg

(BSS) - A total of 1200 marginal farmers of Boalkhali upazila today received seeds and fertilizer for cultivating Aman crop during the current season.

Boalkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Muhammad Rahmat Ullah distributed the seeds and fertilizer free of cost to the farmers as the chief guest at a function held at the UNO office premises under the initiative of the Upazila Agriculture Office.

Chaired by Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Atiq Ullah, the function was addressed, among others, by Upazila Rural Development Officer Md Zahir Uddin Bhuiyan, Forest Conversation Officer Tapon Kanti Dey, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officers-Saumitra Dey, Shibu Kanti Nath, Faridul Alam, Durga Pado Dev, Md Alauddin and Joynal Abedin.

Each of the farmers was given five kilogrammes (KGs) of high yielding variety Aman seeds, 10 KGs of DAP and 10 KGs of MOP fertilizer.
