News presenter Radia Islam Hridi`s extraordinary success

Staff Correspondent : In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the media landscape of Bangladesh, popular news presenter Radia Islam Hridi has been honored by the “71 Media Iconic Awards 2025”. She won the award in the ‘Special Contribution to Best News Presenter’ category, which is considered by eminent personalities to be a unique milestone in her professional life.

This prestigious award was officially presented on 25 July 2025, at a grand ceremony at the Banquet Hall of Sky City Hotel (4 stars) in Dhaka. Former Information Secretary and Chief Advisor of 71 Media Vision, Syed Margub Morshed, was present as the chief guest at the ceremony and R. K. Ripon, Executive Director of 71 Media Vision, presided over the ceremony.

Radia Islam Hridi is currently working as a main news presenter at RDM TV. She has also worked as a news presenter at Bangladesh Betar, Global Voice 24, Channel-S and Metro TV. She is also associated as a brand ambassador of BD Child Talent. Her fluent presentation, logical analysis, attractive manner and sincerity towards the audience have brought her a strong position in the media in a short time. She has become a role model for the young generation.

Radia was very talented, creative and responsible from the beginning of her educational career. She is currently studying as a regular student of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, Dhanmondi branch. Along with her studies, her active participation in co-curricular activities, debates and cultural activities has always been appreciated.

The biggest contribution behind Radia`s success is her family - especially her parents. Her father Mainul Islam and mother Sharmin Islam have been by her side from the beginning, providing her with all kinds of support and inspiration. They have tried to raise their daughter not only as a good student or news reader, but also as a confident, determined and honest person.

In a response, Radia Islam Hridi said, "The biggest strength behind my achievement was my parents. They never let me stop. They always gave me courage, love and inspiration. It is because of their immense faith and constant prayers that it is possible for me to stand on this stage today."

The 71st Media Iconic Awards 2025 authorities have wished Radia Islam Hridi all the best in her future professional advancement through this honor.
