Special Correspondent: National Life Insurance PLC has achieved the IDRA Insurance Excellence Award. The award was presented at a ceremony held on 29 January at Hotel Sonargaon. Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser handed over the award to National Life`s Managing Director & CEO Md.Kazim Uddin and Deputy Managing Director & CFO Prabir Chandra Das FCA. The program was presided over by IDRA Chairman Dr. M. Aslam Alam. Nazma Mobarak, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division was present as special guests, while Adiba Rahman, Vice President of the Bangladesh Insurance Association and BM Yousuf Ali, President of the Bangladesh Insurance Forum were presented as distinguished guests.

The award was introduced by IDRA for the first time to encourage excellence and professionalism in the insurance sector. It was conferred based on performance in areas such as premium income growth, claims management, investment management, and the implementation of sound corporate governance. This year, 6 life insurance companies and 7 non-life insurance companies received the award.
