Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, FCA, a member of the Board of Directors of state-owned Shariah-based SammilitoIslami Bank PLC, has been appointed Chairman of EXIM Islami Investment Limited (EIIL), a subsidiary of the bank. Besides, Abedur Rahman Sikder, Managing Director of SammilitoIslami Bank, has been appointed as a Director of EIIL.The decisions were taken at the 78th meeting of the Board of Directors of EIIL, held on 13 September 2026 at the head office of SammilitoIslami Bank PLC in Dhaka.Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, FCA, presided over the meeting as the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of EIIL. Mohammad Shibbir Hossain, FCA, Independent Director, and Md. MonjurulAlam, Chief Executive Officer, were also present at the meeting.
