| Nasiruddin Patwary Attacked and Car Vandalized in Kushtia |

| Rafiqul Islam, Kushtia dist. Correspondent : Nasiruddin Patwary, Chief Coordinator of the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP), has come under attack in Kushtia. Bricks and stones were also hurled at his vehicle. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday evening (October 4) near the Lalon Shah Shrine in Cheuria, under Kumarkhali Upazila, Kushtia. It is reported that Nasiruddin Patwary was attacked while leaving the Lalon Shrine. At the moment he was taking photos with admirers, someone threw an egg at him, and he remained confined there for approximately 30 minutes. Prior to this, bricks and stones had been thrown at his vehicle. Hasnat Abdullah, an NCP leader and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Cumilla-4 constituency, posted about the attack on Nasiruddin Patwary on social media. He wrote, "Nasiruddin Patwary has once again been attacked in Kushtia. This marks the fifth time Nasiruddin Patwary has been attacked during the tenure of the BNP government. Nasiruddin Patwary`s voice cannot be silenced through repeated attacks, intimidation, or repression. No one has been able to stop Patwary through attacks in the past, nor will they be able to do so in the future, InshaAllah. No obstacle can halt the struggle for justice, rights, and liberty that has begun. The fight for truth and justice will continue." A video shows a group of people chasing Nasiruddin Patwary and his activists while shouting, "Catch them, catch them." Regarding the incident, Jamal Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kumarkhali Police Station, stated, "I heard that NCP leader Nasiruddin Patwary had visited the Lalon Shrine. I have just received news that an untoward incident occurred involving him. Upon receiving the information, the police immediately arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control." He added that the motive behind the attack and the identities of those involved have not yet been confirmed. The Officer-in-Charge (OC) stated that the police have not yet ascertained the exact reason behind the attack or identified the perpetrators; the matter is being investigated in detail. Earlier, on May 22, Nasiruddin Patwary and his associates were attacked on the premises of the Jhenaidah Municipal Collectorate Jame Mosque (located in the old DC Court area) following Juma prayers. Additionally, on the evening of July 28, he was attacked in the Staff Quarters, Sonali Bank, and Circuit House areas of Habiganj town.
