Chinese President Xi Jinping recently sent a congratulatory letter to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Central Institute of Socialism.
In his message, President Xi noted that over the past 70 years, the institute has cultivated a vast contingent of non-CPC (Communist Party of China) representatives who share the same ideals and aspirations as the CPC and remain united in their dedicated endeavors. He emphasized that the institute has made significant contributions to consolidating and expanding the patriotic united front.
President Xi expressed his hope that the institute will firmly uphold the correct orientation, continuously enhance political training, broadly forge political consensus, and steadily improve the quality of education, research, and institutional administration. He added that the institute should fully leverage its role in talent development, theoretical research, and the dissemination of policies and guidelines within the united front, thereby better serving the overall work of the Party and the country.
On Tuesday (October 20), at a commemorative gathering celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Central Institute of Socialism, Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, read out President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory message.
In his remarks, Wang underscored the necessity of studying and implementing the essence of President Xi’s congratulatory letter. He stressed that on the new journey, the institute must adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, continuously strengthen political training, and build broad political consensus.
