| A series of major international gatherings concluded in September—including prominent investment and trade fairs as well as the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS)—attracting top executives from multinational corporations worldwide. Rather than heading home immediately after the events, many executives headed straight to Chinese manufacturing hubs for firsthand factory inspections.Such "factory tours" have rapidly become an indispensable component of China itineraries for senior leaders of foreign enterprises. Shanghai-based tour operator Huanbo Jincheng, which facilitates on-site visits for overseas business delegations, reported that its factory-inspection business volume surged nearly fivefold from last year to this year.Trade expos serve as an essential window of communication between China and the world. Complementing these platforms, China’s sophisticated manufacturing facilities, comprehensive industrial chains, and extensive real-world technological deployment provide the foundational bedrock required to transform investment intentions into reality. Direct factory inspections by senior executives therefore serve as a tangible reflection of global corporations` eager commitment to seizing commercial opportunities in the Chinese market.During the first eight months of this year, actual foreign direct investment (FDI) in China’s high-tech manufacturing sector rose by more than 30 percent compared with the same period last year. Powered by an expansive consumer market, a fully integrated industrial ecosystem, an abundant pool of skilled talent, and progressively widening opening-up policies, China continues to cement its position as a compelling destination for global capital and cutting-edge innovation.Source: Zinia, Faisal, Fei | China Media Group (CMG)
