  DU resumes classes after 3-month

Classes at Dhaka University (DU) resumed on Sunday (September 22) after a closure of more than three months.

However, first-year classes will commence on September 30.

Dhaka University classes were closed from June 2 to 30 due to Eid-ul-Azha and summer vacation. But scheduled examinations were held in various departments. Although the classes were supposed to resume from July 1, the University Teachers` Association announced an indefinite strike demanding the cancellation of the new scheme which paralyzed the university.

Meanwhile, the students boycotted classes from July 7 for quota reform.
