Protesters besiege Shahbagh Police Station ending 48-hr ultimatum

A group of students have gathered at Shahbagh Police Station demanding trial of those involved in murder of Shahriar Alam Shammo, a student of Institute of Education and Research.

They started a protest procession from Raju Sculpture of Dhaka University around 12:30PM on Sunday and later sit-in at the police station.

Earlier, the students of Dhaka University gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the government to take action against the attackers.

The protesters demand to bring the culprits under trial within a short time. Different slogans were chanted by them, `Want to answer from administration why my brother has died`, `Why my brother under grave and the killers outside.`
