  US warship enters Panama Canal, heading toward Caribbean

(BSS/AFP) - A US guided missile cruiser, USS Lake Erie, was seen crossing the Panama Canal from the Pacific to the Caribbean Friday night, as the Trump administration deploys near the coast of Venezuela.

AFP journalists saw the warship passing through one of the canal`s locks at around 21:30 local time (0230 GMT Saturday) and navigating east toward the Atlantic.
