Sumaiya, Sumona shine in Sheltech`s big win in WDPL

(BSS)-Sumaiya Akter continued her rich vein of form by hitting a century as Sheltech Cricket Academy Women`s Cricket team crushed Bangladesh Police Cricket Women`s by 219 runs in the Women`s Dhaka Premier League (WDPL) at BKSP-1 ground today.

Thanks to Sumaiya who clubbed 96 ball-111 with 13 boundaries, Sheltech compiled a mammoth 312-3, a target which was too hot to handle for Police
Women`s team.
Sumaiya was ably supported by Sharmin Sultana who missed out her ton by three runs as she scored 97.

Chasing a gigantic target, Police Women`s team were bowled out for 93 in 36 overs in the face of a tight bowling of Jannatul Ferdous Sumona.

Sumona had nice figure of 9-1-24-6 that dismantled Police batter. It was Sheltech`s third straight victory, meaning they remain only team to be unbeaten as of now.

BKSP registered their third victory in fourth game when they sealed a 123-run win over Kalabagan Krira Chakra Women`s team at BKSP-4 ground.

After opting to bat first, BKSP posted 261-7 with Sadia Akter making highest 71 not out and opener Mosammat Eva adding 69. Kalabagan were able to put up just 138-8 in 50 overs.
