Muslim League banned Awami League in 1949: Muslim League

Special Correspondent: Awami League was built by breaking the house of Muslim League. The Muslim League has banned the Awami League, which broke away from the party, like a prodigal son, since 1949.
Advocate Mohsin Rashid made the above comments in his speech as the president of the 10th National Council session of the traditional political party Bangladesh Muslim League at the Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital on Saturday 10:00 am. He asked more than 500 councilors from all over the country for their opinions on banning Awami League. When the leaders and workers present raised their hands in favor of banning Awami League, they expressed their opinions. The councilors elected Mr. Mohsin Rashid as the president and Kazi Abul Khair as the party`s secretary general for the fourth consecutive time by voice vote and, in consultation with senior party leaders, assigned the responsibility of announcing the full committee of the party by June 10, 2025.
AB Party founder Convenor AFM Solaiman and Vice Chairman Lt. Col. (Retd.) Didarul Alam, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Nayeb Ameer Abdur Rab Yusufi, prominent politician Barrister Sarwar Hossain, Labor Party President Mustafizur Rahman Iran, NDM Secretary General Mominul Amin, Bangladesh Congress Secretary General Ed. Yarul Islam, and Gana Adhikar Parishad spokesperson Faruk Hasan, among other leaders, delivered welcome speeches. Party leaders, including Secretary General Kazi Abul Khair, Standing Committee Member Wazir Ali Morol, Vice President Syed Abdul Hannan Noor, Additional Secretaries General Akbar Hossain Pathan and Kazi AA Kafi, Publicity Secretary Sheikh A Sabur, and more than 500 councilors from various districts and upazilas participated.
The leaders expressed their opinion that there is scope to ban the Awami League under at least three sections of the law, condemned India`s cowardly attack on Pakistan over the Pahelgram violence, and advocated restraint and peace through dialogue instead of war.
