Beijing criticises EU sanctions on Chinese entities linked to Russia

Beijing`s commerce ministry has condemned the European Union`s latest sanctions, which target several Chinese entities over alleged links to Russia`s military activities.

In a statement released on Monday, the ministry described the move as "mistaken" and warned it could damage China-EU economic ties.

A spokesperson said the sanctions violate understandings previously reached between Chinese and EU leaders, and would seriously affect bilateral trade and financial cooperation.
