Kamrul Hasan : Dr. Khondkar Akbar Hossain Bablu, former vice-president of the Manikganj District BNP, member of the district convening committee, and nomination aspirant for Manikganj-1 constituency from the BNP’s symbol Sheaf of Paddy, said that unity is the only way to ensure the nation’s welfare.
"All divisions and differences must be set aside in the greater interest of the country. Only through the victory of the symbol of freedom—the Sheaf of Paddy—can the rights of the people be restored," he said.
He made the remarks while addressing a discussion meeting as the chief guest after a mass campaign, leaflet distribution, and public communication program held on Saturday afternoon at the premises of Kalia Public High School in Daulatpur upazila. The event was organized by the local Union BNP and its associate bodies to promote BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s “31-Point Agenda for Repairing the State Structure.”
Dr. Bablu said, “Under the visionary leadership and political foresight of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, the movement to restore democracy and safeguard the constitution has gained new momentum. His 31-point reform agenda serves as a roadmap for national liberation—its implementation is essential to reclaim the rights of the people.”
Referring to the upcoming national election, Dr. Bablu stated, “After 17 years of struggle and movement, the interim government has announced that the next national election will be held in the first half of February next year. However, an anti-liberation clique is conspiring to derail the election process. To counter these evil forces, we must forge a united public opinion.”
Addressing BNP leaders and activists, he urged, “There can be no division within the party. All internal disagreements must be set aside for the greater interest of the nation. Manikganj BNP has always been at the forefront of movements and struggles. To ensure victory for the Sheaf of Paddy in every constituency of the district in the upcoming election, we must work together in unity.”
He further added, “The people of this country will never allow any conspirator to succeed. BNP is a democratic party—we have always fought for the rights of the people. If we continue to stand by the masses, listen to their concerns, and work sincerely to solve their problems, we can build a developed and modern Bangladesh.”
