Work with Dedication for the Country, Not for Any Political Party: Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister

Kamrul Hasan : Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita, MP, has urged government officials and employees to remain committed not to any particular political party, but to the interests of the country, carrying out their duties with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.

She said that government officials must perform their responsibilities with neutrality, honesty, and sincerity to implement the Prime Minister`s development agenda and build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh.

The Minister made these remarks while addressing a meeting of the District Law and Order Committee as the chief guest at the conference room of the Manikganj Deputy Commissioner`s Office on Sunday (14 June).

Speaking at the meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Nazmun Ara Sultana, she said that the country would continue to move forward through the collective efforts of all.

To implement the current government`s electoral manifesto, government officials need to play a more active and responsible role than ever before.

Emphasising the importance of building a social movement against drug abuse, the Minister said that people from all walks of life, regardless of political affiliation, must be involved in the fight to eliminate drugs from society.

She called on law enforcement agencies to take a firm stance against drug traffickers, stating that no leniency should be shown in this regard.

The Minister also instructed the district administration to take necessary measures to preserve playgrounds across the district in the interest of children`s healthy development and recreation. She said that ensuring opportunities for children and adolescents to participate in sports would help keep them away from drugs and various social crimes.

In her speech, Afroza Khanam Rita, MP, noted that the current government had been entrusted with the responsibility of governing the country because of the love and support of people from all sections of society. Addressing government officials and employees, she said, "We must work with dedication not for any political party, but for the interests of the country.

The country`s development and the welfare of its people must be our foremost objective."

Officials from various government departments in Manikganj district, members of law enforcement agencies, and government and non-government officials and employees from different levels attended the meeting.
