Staff Correspondent: National Life Insurance PLC celebrated its 42nd anniversary with a grand event titled “42 Years of Excellence and Glorious Success Festival” at the Officers` Club in the capital on Tuesday, bringing together nearly 2,000 successful development officers, insurance professionals and distinguished figures from the country`s financial sector.

The celebration was organized to commemorate the company`s four decades of growth and to recognize the outstanding contributions of its field force in expanding the insurance business across the country.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan, MP, attended the event as the chief guest, while Syed Ahmed, MP, President of the Bangladesh Insurance Association, was present as the special guest.

The programme was chaired by Tofazzal Hossain, Chairman of National Life Insurance PLC. Md. Kazim Uddin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, delivered the welcome address. Directors and senior executives of the company also attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening the insurance sector through improved customer service, prompt claim settlements and sound corporate governance. The company also showcased its national and international awards in recognition of its contributions to the insurance industry.

One of the major attractions of the event was the ceremonial handover of an insurance claim cheque worth Tk 57.5 million (Tk 5.75 crore) to a beneficiary, demonstrating the company`s commitment to timely claim settlement.

The company also honoured its best-performing area heads, zone heads and development officers with gold medals and special incentive awards in recognition of their exceptional achievements.

According to the organizers, the enthusiastic participation of development officers from across the country created a vibrant atmosphere and reflected the company`s strong nationwide network. They expressed optimism that such recognition programmes would further motivate employees, enhance productivity and contribute to the continued expansion of National Life Insurance PLC`s business.
