  US Senate passes sweeping Russia sanctions bill

(BSS/AFP) - The US Senate passed a sweeping sanctions package targeting Russia`s energy revenues Friday.

The legislation now heads to the House of Representatives, though a vote there is unlikely before early September due to the congressional summer recess.
