Secondary schools, colleges in 25 districts to remain closed on Saturday

Secondary level schools, colleges, madrasas and technical educational institutions will remain closed for Saturday (May 4) in 25 districts, including Dhaka, considering the students` health safety amid the ongoing heatwave.

A notice was issued in this regard by the education ministry on Friday afternoon.

According to the notice, the education institutions in all districts in Khulna and Rajshahi divisions, in Dhaka and Tangail district of Dhaka division, Chandpur district of Chattogram, Rangpur, Kurigram, Nilphamari, and Dinajpur district of Rangpur division will remain shut due to the extreme heat.
