Bangladesh reach quarterfinal as group champions

(BSS) - Bangladesh tennis team reached quarterfinals of the `2025 Davis Cup Junior Tennis tournament beating Guam 2-1 in the second group stage match held in Kuching, Malaysia on Wednesday.

Earlier, in the first match, Bangladesh defeated Pacific Oceania 2-1. With the two wins in the group Bangladesh also emerged as the group champion.

In the second match, Rajib Hossain of Bangladesh beat his Guam`s rival Jacob Xiao 6-1, 6-1 in the first set, while Kabya Gayen of Bangladesh lost to Junhick Seo of Guam 2-6, 1-6 in the second set.

In the doubles event, Kabya Gayen and Tushar pair of Bangladesh beat Junhick Seo and Camelio Chang pair of Guam 6-2, 6-4, giving Bangladesh a 2-1 wins.
