HSC, equivalent exams begin tomorrow

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will begin simultaneously across the country tomorrow (June 25).

This year, a total of 12,51,111 candidates will take part in the public examination.

Among the examinees, 618,015 are male and 633,096 are female.

A total of 10,55,398 students are from the General Education Board, while 86,102 and 109,611 will sit under the Madrasa and Technical boards respectively.

The exams will be held at 2,797 centres, including 8 abroad.

Coaching centres will remain closed until August 15, and use of electronic devices within 200 yards of exam centres has been banned.

The Education Ministry has warned of strict legal action against rumor-spreaders and rule violators, with the army assisting law enforcement during the exams.

Candidates must enter centres at least 30 minutes early.

In case of delays due to natural causes, extra time will be provided.
