EC to release draft electoral roll on Aug 10

The Election Commission (EC) will publish the draft voter list for the upcoming 13th national election on August 10.

Additional Secretary of the EC, AKM Ali Newaz, told BSS on Tuesday that the final voter list will be released after verifying and scrutinising the draft.

Responding to a query, he noted that the final list is expected to be finalized by August 31 following the review process.

Earlier, on July 21, Senior Secretary to the EC, Akhter Ahmed, announced that the draft voter list would be published within July.

He confirmed that 4,466,000 new voters have been added to the voter list and will be included in the draft as per the commission’s decision.
