Case filed in connection with the recovery of Sajid`s body in the pond of Ebi, CID begins investigation
  Date : 13-08-2025

Rafiqul Islam, Kushtia Correspondent: After filing a case in connection with the recovery of the body of a student named Sajid of Kushtia Islamic University (EB), the Crime Investigation Department (CID) has started an investigation on verbal instructions. In the meantime, they have collected various evidence. At the same time, the EB police and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) are collecting information on their own.

According to sources from the Islamic University Police Station, the father of Islamic University student Sajid, Ahsan Habibullah, filed a case with the EB Police Station on August 4 regarding the murder of his father. He demanded that the investigation be completed through the CID. In that context, preparations are underway to hand over the investigation to the CID. Since preparing a written order takes a long time, the CID has started the investigation on the basis of a verbal order.

It is worth noting that the police recovered the body of Sajid Abdullah from the pond of the university`s Shah Azizur Rahman Hall at around 5:45 pm on July 17. Later, in the report received on August 3, it was stated that Sajid had been strangled to death. Sajid was mentioned at 3:30 am (approximate) on July 16.
