DUCSU election: Chhatra Dal officially unveils manifesto

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) panel has officially announced the first manifesto for the upcoming Dhaka University Central Students` Union (Ducsu) and hall union elections.

Vice-president (VP) candidate Abidul Islam Khan read out the 10-point manifesto on the campus on Thursday.

The manifesto includes:

1) Building a modern, vibrant, livable, and safe campus by prioritizing education and research.

2) Ensuring a safe campus for female students, along with women`s health protection and capacity building.

3) Providing quality healthcare and health insurance for students, and making education and mobility easier for students with special needs.

4) Modernizing the curriculum, infrastructure, and examination system, while enhancing the quality of research.

5) Regulating transportation, introducing battery-powered shuttle bus services, and ensuring smooth commuting facilities.

6) Delivering hassle-free administrative services, education loans, and campus-based employment opportunities.

7) Engaging youth in constructive activities and expanding sports and cultural programs.

8 ) Providing digital facilities for students, ensuring cybersecurity, and preventing cyberbullying.

9) Establishing proper waste management, environmental conservation, greening initiatives, and an animal-friendly campus.

10) Ensuring an effective student union (Ducsu) and expanding Dhaka University`s engagement at the international level.
