Bashir for utmost importance to uphold Biman’s reputation

BSS) – Civil Aviation and Tourism Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin today laid special emphasize on resolving recent technical glitches, occurred in Biman’s aircrafts for maintaining the reputation of national flag carrier.

"Aircraft mechanical faults are directly related to the safety of people`s lives. Therefore, in order to maintain the reputation of the aircraft, efforts must be made to resolve the faults with utmost importance and to avoid such unwanted incidents in future," he said.

The adviser said these while chairing a discussion titled ‘Causes of Mechanical Faults in Biman Bangladesh Airlines Aircraft and Measures for Their Resolution’ at the meeting room of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

He urged Biman’s administration and engineering departments to play a more responsible role in identifying and fixing technical glitches and to work toward preventing such incidents in future.

“No kind of laxity in dealing with man-made problems is acceptable. Strict action must be taken where necessary,” Bashir Uddin warned, calling for increased caution during pre-flight inspections.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Nasreen Jahan, Additional Secretary (Biman & CA) Dr. Humayra Sultana, Managing Director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Md Shafiqur Rahman and senior officials from the ministry and Biman were present at the meeting.
