Pakistan PM’s address to UNGA further boosts Kashmiris’ morale: APHC
  Date : 27-09-2025

MT Desk: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has appreciated the address of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to the United Nations General Assembly and said that it has further boosted the morale of Kashmiris who have been suffering from Indian occupation for the past several decades.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Shahbaz Sharif in his address to the General Assembly yesterday expressed solidarity with the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said, “Pakistan stands with its Kashmiri brothers, Indian occupation will end and Kashmiris will one day achieve their right to self-determination.”
APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Prime Minister of Pakistan has once again invited India for talks to resolve all disputes, including Kashmir, proving that Pakistan believes in resolving problems and disputes through dialogue and not through war.
He said due to India’s unrealistic approach and stubbornness regarding the resolution of the Kashmir dispute, not only the Kashmiri people are suffering but the peace of the entire region is also at stake.
The spokesperson said Pakistan is not only an important party to the Kashmir dispute but also an advocate for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiris as recognized by the United Nations and it is vigorously highlighting this right at the global level.
He said the Kashmiri people are extremely grateful to Pakistan for its full support in their struggle for the right to self-determination, adding India should also stop suppressing the freedom struggle of Kashmiris by force and give a positive response to Pakistan’s offer to resume the dialogue process.
The spokesperson condemned the curfew, restrictions and continuous internet shutdown in Leh and Kargil areas of Ladakh region and demanded the immediate release of all arrested persons, including renowned environmental activist Sonam Wangchuck.
APHC leader Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement also thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his solidarity with the Kashmiri people. He said that Kashmiris are hopeful that the government and people of Pakistan will continue to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir until they get their birthright to self-determination.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter leader Altaf Hussain Wani in a statement also welcomed the Pakistan Prime Minister’s address and said the government of Pakistan is strongly advocating the inalienable right of Kashmiris, the right to self-determination, for which the Kashmiris are grateful.
He said be it Kashmir or Palestine, Pakistan has always highlighted these right-based issues at every international forum. He said the courageous diplomacy of Pakistan has further enhanced its prestige at the global level.
