Youth killed being hit by in city’s Uttara

A 21-year-old youth died early Monday after being hit by a speeding bus in Uttara, Dhaka.

The dead was Md Arman Mirza, son of Abu Sufian Mirza, hailing from Purhatiala village in Hajiganj upazila of Chandpur district. He had completed his HSC in 2024 from Uttara Abdullahpur Nawab Habibullah College.

According to his maternal aunt, Naznin Begum, Arman was returning home on his motorcycle around 5:30am when a speeding bus rammed into him on Jashimuddin Road, leaving him critically injured.


He was initially taken to Kurmitola General Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
