HAAB announces 3 private hajj packages; minimum costs 5 lakh

The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has announced three packages for performing Hajj under private management next year fixing the minimum cost at Tk 5,10,000.

HAAB Secretary General Farid Ahmed Majumder announced the packages at a press conference at a hotel in Dhaka`s Nayapaltan area on Tuesday, September 30.

Cost, including of food and sacrificial animals, for package-1 (special) has been set at Tk 7,50,000, package-2 at Tk 5,50,000, and package-3 at Tk 5,10,000, he said.

Earlier on Sunday, the government introduced three packages for performing Hajj under government management.

The cost for package-1 (special) has been fixed at Tk 690,597, package-2 at Tk 558,881, and package-3 at Tk 467,167.

Under both government and private management, a total of 1,27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh can perform Hajj in the next year which is likely to take place in the last week of May of 2026.
