Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser, has expressed deep sorrow and condolences over the casualties caused by the crash of a training aircraft at the Milestone School and College campus at Diabari in Uttara, Dhaka.
The statement was released on Monday through the Chief Adviser’s press wing.
In his condolence message, the Chief Adviser said, “The loss caused to the Air Force personnel, students, guardians, teachers, staff, and others due to this accident is irreparable. This is a moment of profound grief for the nation. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and have instructed all concerned authorities, including the hospitals, to respond with utmost priority to the situation.”
He added that the government will take necessary measures to investigate the cause of the accident and ensure all possible assistance.
The training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into a building at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka. The Fire Service confirmed at least one death. Rescue operations are ongoing at the site.
Following the crash, several burn victims have been admitted to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. As of 3 PM, 20 people had been hospitalized, most of whom are students, according to hospital officials.
