BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep sorrow over the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft at Milestone College campus in Uttara, Dhaka.
He has called on BNP leaders and activists at all levels to stand by the injured and affected.
In a Facebook post on Monday (July 21) afternoon, he wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the horrific news of the plane crash at Milestone College. Such tragic situations in educational institutions, which should be safe spaces for students, are absolutely unacceptable.”
He added, “My heartfelt prayers are with the injured and mentally distressed students affected by this heartbreaking incident. I urge BNP leaders and activists at all levels—especially members of Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechasebak Dal, and healthcare professionals—to swiftly go to the accident site and support the injured and victims.”
Tarique Rahman emphasized, “In facing this disaster, we all must come together united because we are all part of this nation—a country built on humanity and compassion.”
The F-7 BGI training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into the Milestone School and College campus at 1:18 PM on Monday. Police have recovered the body of one victim so far.
