Fire Service and Civil Defence crews on Monday night concluded their on-site rescue operation at the crash site of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft at Milestone School and College in Uttara.
The Air Force, however, continues its efforts to clear the wreckage, with Fire Service maintaining a standby unit for safety.

Officials from Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed that their rescue operation ended late Monday, as shared by Senior Staff Officer Md. Shahjahan Sikder.
From the moment of impact, an intensive rescue effort was underway involving the Army, Air Force, Police, RAB and multiple Fire Service units.
Shikdar explained that while Fire Service has officially concluded rescue activities at the school building in Uttara, a standby unit remains at the site as a precaution.
Meanwhile, Air Force is leading the ongoing operation to remove the downed aircraft. The presence of anxious parents and guardians crowding the area remains a concern.
The crash occurred shortly after 1:00 PM on Monday when a Bangladesh Air Force F?7 BGI training aircraft lost control and struck a building on the Milestone School and College campus, igniting a fire that engulfed both the aircraft and the structure.
The blaze prompted rapid deployment of eight Fire Service units from Uttara and surrounding zones, which quickly brought the flames under control and began immediate rescue operations.
As word spread, BGB personnel and Army units joined the efforts, and the injured were airlifted to nearby hospitals via Air Force helicopters.
According to Inter?Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR), 20 people lost their lives in the incident, while approximately 171 others are receiving treatment across various medical facilities.
With rescue operations completed, authorities now focus on recovery, investigation and managing the emotional and logistical challenges faced by the families at the scene.
