  Date : 11-09-2025

Newly elected Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students` Union (DUCSU) Sadik Kayem and General Secretary S M Forhad, along with several other leaders, visited former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday afternoon.

The visit was confirmed by Shakil Uzzaman, a senior leader of Gono Odhikar Parishad and the party’s office coordinator.

According to party sources, the student leaders met with Nur to check on his recovery and spoke to him regarding his current condition. Nur has been receiving treatment at the hospital since August 29, after he was allegedly assaulted by law enforcement officers in front of Gono Odhikar Parishad office in the capital’s Bijoynagar area.

Nur, who now serves as President of Gono Odhikar Parishad, sustained injuries during the incident and was admitted to the hospital the same night.

He is currently under care in a private cabin at DMCH.
