MM Rahmatullah: The two-day `Al Khwarizmi Science Fest 2025` organized by Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir concluded today with a colorful closing ceremony at the KIB Complex, Farmgate, Dhaka. The event was held under the theme "Inspired by History, Innovating the Future".
The closing session and award distribution ceremony were attended by Dr. Masudul Rahman, former Senior Engineer at Intel, as the chief guest. Special guests included planning expert Sirajul Islam, outgoing central president Zahidul Islam, and Ahmed ES Majumdar, Design Architect at Northrup Grumman.
In his speech, Dr. Masudul Rahman emphasized the importance of innovation and technology in the current era. He urged the young generation to become creators rather than just consumers of technology.
Sibgatullah, Secretary General of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, said the organization aims to build a patriotic and enlightened generation inspired by the golden era of Muslim scientists.
Awards were distributed to winners of the Math Olympiad, Project Showcase, and Rubik`s Cube competitions. The event also featured a panel discussion, cultural performances, and exhibitions on physics, biology, chemistry, robotics, and Quranic science.
The Project Display competition was won by Team `Incribo` (Smart Grocery Store), followed by Team `Solven` (New City), Team `Misawash X` (Pretirodh BioKit), Team `Absolute Zero` (Multipurpose Reboot Version 8), and Team `Esin` (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine with Power Distribution).
The fastest Rubik`s Cube solver was Muntazim Billah, followed by Abdullah, Mushfiqu Islam, Dip Sarker, and Farhan Tanvir.
A total of 60 students won gold, silver, and bronze medals in the Math Olympiad. The overall champion was Tasdik Ahmed Tanmay from Notredame College, who received the `Shahid Osman Hadi Award`.
