International Desk: Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, currently on a state visit to China, said on Monday that Serbia’s friendship and partnership with China are of immense importance to his country.
In a post shared on social media, President Vučić expressed deep gratitude for China’s significant contributions to Serbia’s economic development through investment, infrastructure construction, and technological cooperation.
He noted that Chinese cooperation has helped revive numerous factories, mines, roads, and railway networks across Serbia, while also creating a stronger sense of confidence and security among the Serbian people.
According to Vučić, his ongoing visit to China carries historic significance and is expected to have a profound impact on Serbia, its people, and the country’s national interests.
The Serbian president also conveyed special appreciation to Chinese President Xi Jinping for his personal role in advancing bilateral relations and for maintaining a sincere and supportive attitude toward Serbia.
Vučić praised President Xi for standing firmly beside Serbia during some of the country’s most important and challenging moments. He stated that Xi Jinping’s vision and the mutual trust established between the two leaders have elevated China-Serbia relations to the highest level in history.
Reaffirming Serbia’s firm support for the One-China policy, Vučić also highlighted the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative, saying it has contributed significantly to improving global connectivity, promoting more balanced development, and safeguarding international stability.
He expressed confidence that both countries would continue building even closer political, economic, and cultural ties based on mutual respect and the deep understanding shared by the peoples of the two nations.
